Before entering the water

  1. Connect the tail fin to the paddle board.
  2. To determine the right paddle length for you, stand on a flat surface, hold the paddle handle with your hands raised above your head and straight out at a 45-degree angle, which is approximately the length of the paddle you need length. When you paddle, your oars need to be submerged in the water and the blades are under the water surface, so you may need to add 3cm-5cm to ensure smooth rowing.
  3. Connect your foot rope to the D ring, which will better protect your safety.

How does a novice get into paddling?

  1. When in use, put your hands on the paddle. When paddling on the right side of the board, the left hand should rest on the handle at the top of the oar with a slight bend in the elbow. The right hand is roughly at the midpoint of the paddle shaft, with the arm straight. When paddling on the left side of the board, simply reverse the position of your hands, with your right hand on top of the paddle and your left hand at the midpoint.
  2. Dip the paddle smoothly into the water about 1m away in front of you. When you pull the paddle back, you push it down instead of pulling it out of the water. Push the paddle into the water and the current will push it forward.
  3. When the paddle is roughly in line with your feet, you can pull the paddle out of the water. Lift and move the paddle forward and plunge it into the water again. (repeat this action)
  4. When the head of the paddle board starts to deviate from the course, just move your paddle and repeat the same paddling motion on the other side of the paddle board.

How to turn quickly?

Basic turns are simple moves that are easy to master. On the side you want to turn, paddle backwards twice, then switch to the other side and paddle forward twice. If your paddle has not reached the desired turn angle, repeat this step until the paddle is heading in the direction you want.
